downtown phx first friday arts
last night i wanted to check out the art stuff down at first friday with my fella for i havent been there in a whiles...and im glad i went because i noticed a couple of newer boutiques/coffee shop(s) open down on roosevelt.... such as buttertoast boutique which has been downtown there for a bit but i didnt realize it was in the heart of the roosevelt and plus ive never actually been to it. walking in with all the vintage clothes hanging prettily... the exposed brick... the mini back rooms decorated with chandelier/old vintage oval frames & racks of colorful sweaters-tops-dresses galore...i thought to myself this lil house would be a perfect lil shop/home space to live and someday dammit i shall have my own! (ok i didnt think quite that adamantly as if i were an old timey in a office with a cigar and mustache saying "some day ill have my own lil shop seeee and its goin to be like this and like that seeee" haha, but it was the exposed brick that you dont see often in phix that got to me). Below are a few snap shots i took of some of the many arts seen down there. also ran into emily & the sweets gang, dana& pete, bought a yummy rootbeer from steph @ trunk...scored a new candy cane lookin tee for super cheap... and stopped by jackies/collins for a lil B52's record listenin and office trivia spouting to my fella...so all in all it was a good night..
