sweet salvage & melrose vintage

today the madre and i ventured in the heat to the grand opening of sweet salvage downtown melrose district off 7th ave & camelback. it was crowded and full of shabby, rusty, metal, burlap, nature, old & pretty. i loved all the shells and scattered coral amongst old vintage photos. also im a big fan of the glass belljar type items...as well as this one section of this teal dresser with dried vibrant pink roses. prices were what ya expect for a place as such...the bigger items pricey and since my pas a handyman he could make half the pricey shiz that was there im sure as well as anyone whos good with a tool and a good eye (still neato to look at for idears and im sure get if ya really really like a piece ), but the smaller goods werent a bad price at all. all in all i like more shops/boutiques that you can wander and see a vintage fairytale/funky display so kudos to this new lil vintage shop on melrose! bring on more ecclectic places to wander!

this pic above is from melrose vintage (i loooove the bella norte fabrics...much mula..but they are pretty to stare at) all the rest of the pics below are from the new sweet salvage which is similar to rustic roses & whatnot...i wish i could just go and decorate displays and get millions of dollars all day he he ...how fun for them!!
