started the weekend by wandering over to trunkspace downtown to catch allisons of the teeets art gig...and i loved the hanging strawberry upcycled crates with the frills of colorful threads hanging from the ceiling..and her huge portrait/abstract type paintings...along with her handful of binded zines full of surprise drawing goodies. after that jackie and i wandered in an out of sweets and beats to chit chat with emz which is always a joy, then i skipped on down to grap some pizza grub. ok so we really did the grapevine on down to the pizza. ok we walked. and i grabbed a slice. then we headed to the ol palo verde to catch tucsons ultramaroon and sharkpantz...and i tell you man tucson bands...they got it. they got it. they do their own thang and arent too cool for school..and are funny and charming..and muy muy taliente and i wuv it so.
it was a beautiful night of banter and noise..with danalou, bandmate too, and wunderful dudes.
the next day..i woke like a zombie..and headed to Green vegetarian place and sat outside like a dork ..not realizin dana, emz, steph were inside waiting for I. haha. i loved listening to all their stories..and trying out new foods.. it was a perfect start of a bday day.......they treated me to the meal (which they didnt have to! you damn nice ladies you ;) !!)....and emz surprised me with a lil piece of sweets n beats..their orante gold mirror thats pretty badass..so thank ya ladies!!<3
after that..was the day show of sundown showdown...and i plastered my boobs with jjcn stickers..that were like super surging nicotine patches to play good. haha..and we strummed itty gritty loudly screamy bibbidy bobbidy boops. bandmates were lovely..jjcnv gang were lovely. folks were lovley...and all the other bands n stuff that were there were lovely. TOO MUCH BDAY LOVELY WONDERFUL! 28=PERFECTO! thank u everyone. im a lucky gal!
