my madre has been busy renovating a cute lil vintage camper with my pa to sell some laidback/rocknrolly/chic wonderfulness at different vintage/art events around town soon..this weekend i got to go to their place and take a peek of the progress...and thought id share some photos of her creative space..a mere glimpse into BOOHAI art studio/home..
my ma has always been keen to making spaces to accommodate whatever her current situation may be....ive always loved to see her different stylistic ideas...which are often functional/simple/yet unique with key pieces that mix old w/ new, inexpensive w/ lil more expensive, hand-constructed/up-cycled, etc.... ...i love how every time i go visit something has slightly changed...to adapt to whatever her home life brings (new art ideas/adventures/puppies/sis moving out/etc)...and sometimes with these changes I get some things that she may no longer need .. score! for functionality/and hand-me-downin something for re-use is never a bad thing. ...above: love her stacked Moroccan cushion poofs, the handmade floating wall bedside table my dad made, and her swooping down hanging lighting. below: toolbox to store art supplies, and isle.
